When the actor was starting his career, he was cast for the main role in the TV sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air which aired for six years. The home the show was filmed in wasn’t located in Bel Air but in the area of Brentwood. The current price of the house is $7 million. Will played The Genie on Disney’s Aladdin which was released in June 2019.

The Brady Bunch was a long-running TV show of the ’70s with a storyline that revolves around the family with six children. Once the show had ended, the owner of this amazing property had to actually protect the structure with a fence as he couldn’t get rid of the fans that were always trying to take a peek inside.

There is no movie that the great filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock had made that didn’t enter the history of Hollywood’s spookiest films ever. One of those movies is the blockbuster Psycho, which was filmed on the grounds just behind Universal Studios back in 1960. The house started as two walls with an empty facade, but the house was completed for the New Studio tour. Many fans still have the chance to visit the scary Bates Mansion! With a price of $800K, you’d probably need good property insurance if you decide to buy this iconic house.

The “Downton Abbey” Castle – $400 Million

The location where the historical TV series Downton Abbey, created by Julian Fellowes, was filmed was the Highclere Castle in the region of New Hampshire. This many-centuries-old estate has probably seen some restorations over the centuries to preserve its history but it still one of the most beautiful castles in England. It has a Jacobethan style and was built by the architect Charles Barry. During summers, its doors are opened to visitors who can get a chance to see where their favorite series was filmed. The current owner of Highclere Castle is the Carnarvon family.

The Amityville Horror” House – $850K

The first The Amityville Horror film was released back in 1979 and the producers actually had in mind to film it in Amityville, but the local authorities denied the permission. The next location the crew picked was in Toms River, New Jersey and as it turned out, it was a perfect spot. The location was modified to look like the original house. The current owners of the house gave a hefty amount of cash to acquire this property, $850K to be exact, and they painted the house blue. They must have secured some homeowners’ insurance coverage, too.

The crew of one of Hollywood’s classic blockbusters, Forrest Gump, didn’t rent the house for the movie but actually built one from scratch in South Carolina, although it was initially supposed to be in Alabama. A very impressive feat since the house looks extremely well done. Missing any home warranty and many other regulations, the house had to be torn down the moment they ended filming, which means that sadly, many fans lost a chance to visit the iconic place where Forrest Gump, played by actor Tom Hanks, grew up and spent most of his life.

The Dursleys House from “Harry Potter” – $617K

The Harry Potter book series that was turned into films was written by J.K. Rowling. It became a huge hit around the world the moment the first movie was released although the actual house was only used for external shots and the interior was built on the set. The address 1313 Mockingbird Lane is probably one of the most popular sites in Hollywood and in the world of film in general. Built on the Universal Studios backlot, the house served as a location for more than just one movie. The first film that was shot there was So Goes My Love but then it underwent repair and became the mega-popular Munster mansion for the sitcom The Munsters. The ‘Swan’ was rented for the purpose of filming the Twilight franchise and, needless to say, it became a very famous structure, thanks to the movie. The “Seinfeld” Apartment Building – $900K

For nine years, Jerry Seinfeld made his audience laugh with his sitcom Seinfeld, earning a whopping $1 million per episode and boosting his bank account to $870 million. As everything regarding the show became iconic, so did the apartment where the four friends used to hang out. Although in the sitcom, the address is in New York on 81st street, where the actor Jerry Seinfeld himself used to live, in reality, the apartment was located in Los Angeles in New Hampshire, Koreatown. The building is called The Shelley, but despite little changes to its facade, it not very recognizable nowadays.

Another iconic movie and a great location where it was filmed found a spot on the list, and it is no coincidence that Tom Hanks has portrayed the main character once more. The house is not actually a boat because it cannot sail, and the correct term for it is a floating house. This was where Tom Hanks’ character, Sam Baldwin and his son lived in at Westlake Avenue North in Lake Union. In 2014, the houseboat was sold for quite a hefty amount of money, $2.5 million to be exact after being rented out for a while.

One of the best comedies ever made and a true Hollywood classic, The Great Outdoors, produced by John Hughes, needed a cabin big enough to fit two families so what they decided was to have it made on the Universal Studios backlot, in 1988. Later on, the cabin had to undergo restoration as it was used for several shows like the ABC’s TV series Coach, Shooter, and Desperate Housewives as well. Today, many tourists still have a chance to see the cabin on the backlot of Universal Studios in California.

Well, it might come as a surprise but this home exists in reality and it is located in South Pasadena, California but please don’t go visit it uninvited as it is actually a private home. Although it still has the picket fence, it doesn’t look quite the same as in the film. Nevertheless, it still attracts a lot of attention.

Whether or not you liked the character of Dexter from the crime drama with the same name, or the fact that he worked as a forensic technician while being a serial killer, it doesn’t matter. One of the places he had chosen where North by Northwest movie was filmed is an example. However, while the house might have an impressive mansion description to speak of, it couldn’t be found anywhere in reality as it was built on an elaborated set recreating Mt. Rushmore just for this enormous project! Rumor has it Hitchcock wanted to film in the real monument but was banned by the authorities due to the film’s heavy toned scenes.

The “Notting Hill” Apartment – $1.9 Million

Actors Julia Roberts and English hunk Hugh Grant are true masters of the romantic comedy genre so it didn’t come as a surprise when their movie Nothing Hill became an instant hit the moment it was released in 1999. Fans would remember the apartment where Grant’s character in the film lived in. What many probably didn’t know is that the condo does exist in London and belonged to screenwriter Richard Curtis.
