We all know actress Kelly McGillis for her Top Gun role, but she also had many other movie appearances throughout the entire course of her career. These appearances include the movies Witness, The Accused, and her most recent film from 2015 called simply Blue. In recent years, she became tired of acting and focused on teaching acting and helping people recover from drug and alcohol addiction. Although, she did have a role in a movie titled Maternal Secrets. It’s unknown if she plans to do more acting projects in the coming years.

Brooke Shields – The Blue Lagoon, born in 1965

Brooke Shields found success at such a very young age after her roles in Pretty Baby, Blue Lagoon, and Endless Love. Even if she was a young actress, she was later able to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages from Princeton University. She has been very open about her battle with postpartum depression and we’re glad that she’s been able to pull through after that episode. In recent years, you might have seen Shield appear on the show called Jane the Virgin. She reportedly has an upcoming movie called My Boyfriend’s Meds.

Olivia Newton-John – Grease, born in 1948

Everyone who watched the blockbuster movie Grease would know who Olivia Newton-John was. Aside from reaching success as an actress through her character Sandy, she also did some work as a singer and songwriter. She loves doing philanthropic work and is known to be an environmentalist, animal welfare activist, and other causes. Newton-John is still pursuing acting to this day and she will actually be appearing in the upcoming movie called The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee. We hope things work out for her as it has been reported that her cancer has returned recently.
